Les Villas d’Or

Les Villas D’Or is arguably the best luxury self-catering establishment on the magnificent Anse Volbert, Cote D’Or, Praslin. Designed in a typical colonial style offering high standards, superior comfort and modern amenities, the villas offer absolute privacy and total tranquillity in a splendid tropical garden.

It prides itself in offering an authentic ‘home away from home’ holiday and its Management and Staff will ensure a memorable experience to its discerning guests.

From Les Villas D’Or to the airport on Praslin is Approximately 20 minutes by car. To Baie Ste Anne Jetty, where you can take the ferry to Mahé or La Digue is about 10 minutes.

If you stay as a couple on your honeymoon trip for a minimum of 5 Nights at the Villas d'Or you will get a discount of 12% on the accommodation rates.

Les Villas d'Or can offer baby sitting and laundry service (both at cost).

Rooms

Villas d'Or have modern and luxurious self-contained villas offering the comfortable bedrooms and living rooms with fully equipped kitchens. The complex has two types:
- double bedrooms Villas (number: 2)
- single bedrooms Villas (number: 8)

The Villas are solidly built in local colonial style architecture, finished with wooden doors and windows and an open verandah decking. The Villas are a perfect blend with the natural surroundings, barely 10 – 15 meters from the beach.

Bedrooms are equipped with, inter alia, king size beds, ceiling fans and air-conditioning, a personal safe and hair dryers. Single beds, extra beds for children below 18 years and cots are available upon request. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower and bidet.

A comfortable lounge with wooden furniture and dining area flowing onto a private deck overlooking the ocean is a perfect setting for al-fresco dining or the early morning breakfast.

All Villas have telephones, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, DVD and all kitchens are fully equipped with a fridge freezer, cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery.

Restaurants/bars

Guests of Villas d'Or have a choice of meal options.

If you fancy catering for your own meals, the fully equipped kitchen in the Villas provides all the facilities for the ‘home cooking’ experience.

A breakfast option is available with continental breakfast served daily in your respective Villas.

Guests can also opt for a half board meal plan whereby dinner is taken at a choice of various nearby delightful and popular restaurants with complimentary return transfers included.

Activities

Les Villas d'Or has its own swimming pool.

On Praslin you can do a lot of activities like diving, fishing, snorkeling or just book a boat trip to one of the neighbouring islands.

Or how about visiting the beach of Anse Lazio of other beautiful beaches on the island and don't forget to visit Vallee de Mai.

Praslin (Seychelles)

Of the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles, one stands out as having its most iconic features and distinctions: Praslin, the “Isle of Palms,” as christened by explorer Lazare Picault in the mid-1700s. On this small but stunningly diverse island, the beaches merely scratch the surface of the wonders to be found here.

And what you might have thought was simply a sun, sea and sand holiday destination soon gives way to the notion that there’s a much more primal, even mystic, quality about the island – one that defies explanation for most.

The famous British general, Charles George Gordon, could be counted among those who would attempt to figure out why, and he arrived at a startling conclusion. During his time in the Seychelles, he became convinced that the Vallée de Mai, the ancient palm forest on Praslin which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the original Garden of Eden.

Praslin, with a population of 6,500 people, is Seychelles’ second largest island.
